Head of Quality and Reliability

Karen Maxwell is Head of Quality and Reliability at Bloom Energy. Karen brings 35 years of manufacturing and quality expertise from large manufacturers, suppliers, and start-ups. Her career has been in multiple industries; Automotive, Semiconductor, and Solar/Renewables. Most recently, Karen was VP of Quality, Reliability, and Compliance at Enphase Energy, a developer and manufacturer of solar micro-inverters, battery energy storage, and EV charging stations primarily for residential customers. Prior to Enphase, she was Vice President of Quality and Reliability at SolarCity (before its acquisition by Tesla) for solar products. She was Senior Director at Cypress Semiconductor heading up Procurement and Business Operations, and prior to that spent over 20+ years in the automotive sector which included 7 years at NUMMI (New United Motor Manufacturing, a Toyota joint venture) leading both Quality and Assembly. Karen was with Saturn in Wilmington, DE as Director of Engineering/Launch Manager, and at General Motors Lordstown in various roles leading plant operations, maintenance, and engineering sections. Karen received her Masters of Science from University of Texas in Austin, and her Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University.
