SUNNYVALE, California – December 21, 2016 — Bloom Energy Corporation, the market-leading provider of advanced, distributed power generation, announced the Honorable Mary K. Bush, President of Bush International, LLC , an international consulting firm, will join the Bloom Energy Board of Directors. Bush is internationally recognized for her expertise in international finance, banking, and corporate governance. She has served three U.S. Presidents and has held senior executive positions in private sector institutions. Innovations in corporate and sovereign finance have been hallmarks of Ms. Bush’s career in the private and public sectors where she developed business strategies that helped transform markets globally.
Bush previously served as Managing Director (Chief Operating Officer) of the U.S. Federal Housing Finance Board and Vice President – International Finance at the Federal National Mortgage Associate (Fannie Mae). From 1984 to 1988, she served as U.S. Alternate Executive Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), a position appointed by the President of the United States and confirmed by the Senate. In that capacity, she played a key role in responding to the developing country debt crisis of the early 1980s.
Bush served as Executive Assistant to the Deputy Secretary of the U.S. Treasury Department from 1982 to 1984. Prior to her career in federal agencies, she worked in the banking industry for Bankers Trust Company, Citibank, and Chase Manhattan Bank. Bush also hosted “Markets and Technology,” a nationwide cable television program on global business and economic matters.

Ms. Bush serves on the US Advisory Board of the Global Leadership Foundation, founded by former South Africa President, F.W. DeKlerk. She is Chairman of Capital Partners for Education that helps low-income youth get to and through college. She holds an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago and a B.A., Phi Beta Kappa, Magna Cum Laude, from Fisk University. She was born in Birmingham, Alabama and resides in Chevy Chase, Maryland.
