SUNNYVALE, Calif., May 10, 2018 – Bloom Energy Corporation, the market-leading provider of clean, reliable, distributed electric power, today announced that former Cisco CEO and Executive Chairman, and current CEO and Founder of JC2 Ventures, John Chambers has joined the company’s board of directors.
During his more than 25-year tenure at Cisco, Chambers helped grow the company exponentially from revenues of $70 million in 1991 to $47 billion when he stepped down as CEO. In January 2018, Chambers launched the purpose-driven venture capital firm JC2 Ventures. JC2 Ventures invests in companies across categories and geographies that are leading market transitions. As CEO, Chambers focuses on helping disruptive startups from around the world build and scale, while also promoting the broader development of startup nations and a startup world.
